As they already come with a slightly lived in look from the staining, antique white kitchens are good in a real family kitchen as they dont tend to show smnudges as stains as readily as a pure white or pure black kitchen.



Of course they still require cleaning but at least you dont have to worry about going round with a duster and cloth getting out every little blemish as they are just not as visible.



Off white or antique white kitchens are very popular. They are clean and fresh, but dont tend to dominate or make as much of a statement as a pure white kitchen does.



If your thinking a poainting your own cabinets then preparation is the key. Use TSP or sugarsoap to remove all the existing grease or grime. Then clean and sand all your cabinets before applying any paint at all.
