A white kitchen often invokes a feeling and atmostphere of being light bright and airy. It also tends to suggest cleanliness. This might be why white kitchens and white kitchen cabinets are so popular.



White kitchens tend to go with many different colors of countertops. f you bold you could actually go with a white countertop, although that might end up being a little too much white if you have white walls and floors also.



Personally I have a white kitchen with white cabinets and walls and subway tile backsplash, with a dark black / grey countertop and slate effect floors. I think the combination works quite well giving plenty of the brightness of white, with the black being there in the countertop and floor so it doesnt overdo it.



But the good thing about white is that all colors can work with it, so you could have almost any color of backsplash tiles, countertop and floor, and they will go with white. Obviously you have to combine the colors of those though.



White kitchens always tend to have a classic and classy feel so it is difficult to go wrong with a white kitchen so it is a pretty good choice if your not sure about colors for your new kitchen. White kitchen cabinets and walls can be combined with so many other colors that it really gives you so many options. It works in a classic style but also a modern contemporary style really well.



For example a plain white kitchen with a black or gold granite countertop is a beautiful thing with a clean and stylish look. With white as your foundation you also have many options for the colors of your accessories too.
