Why in the world would you put in a vinyl floor? They went out with the 60's. Ceramic Tile while the initial installation may cost more the life cycle cost is the lowest of any product you can put down. If the floor is put down properly I would expect a tile floor to last 50-60 years easily. You would have probably replaced a vinyl floor 3-4 times by then. Plus the tile floor will increase the property value.
