More Tumbled Marble Backsplash
Is a tumbled marble backsplash a bad idea in the kitchen?
Some people think it is because the the marble that has hit the reject pile and also because its so porous.
But even if that really is the case, in a kitchen backsplash it can make a wonderful addition to a kitchen especially when combined with a granite countertop.
The main problem is that sealant for tumbled marble will protect from liquids such as water and oil, but cant really protect against acidic liquids such as those in lemon juice and vinegar.
Acids can stain tumble marble but it really is just a case of mopping up any spills as soon as possible rather than the backsplash being ruined the instant its hit by a splodge of tomato sauce or lemon juice.
